We have always been about
people and experiences.
This is our sacred space
At the heart of our ministries is WinShape Retreat, which embodies the spirit and transformation of WinShape Foundation. It is here that we guide individuals, families and organizations to a renewed hope and purpose through our ministries.
The WinShape Foundation began with the
dedication of the Cathys.
Faith, Family and Service
Since 1946, Chick-fil-A has pioneered with delicious food and top-notch service. Founder Truett Cathy started the business when he opened his original diner, The Dwarf Grill, in the Atlanta suburb of Hapeville. The diner would later be renamed as The Dwarf House®. Chick-fil-A has since continued to root itself in values of faith, family and service to the community.
Growing and Serving
In 1967, Truett opened the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Atlanta’s Greenbriar Mall. Today, there are more than 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants in 46 states and Washington D.C., and the Cathy family has led Chick-fil-A through a remarkable 49 consecutive years of annual sales growth.
The WinShape Foundation is Born
Founded in 1984, the WinShape Foundation was born out of Truett’s desire to shape winners by helping young people succeed in life through scholarships and support programs. Each year, WinShape awards more than 20 scholarships worth up to $32,000.
The legacy continues
Truett Cathy passed away on Sept. 8, 2014, and his death shook the hearts of families across the country. His sons, Dan and Don ("Bubba”), and his daughter, Trudy Cathy White, have carried on his legacy by sustaining a variety of non-profit organizations. Each of these efforts reinforces the Cathy family’s dedication to a lifetime of serving others.
